I'm standing here with Norrie and Andy having my own knowledge augmented on the BBC's current trials of Augmented Reality. There's a how-to on HowStuffWorks. It means that using a PDF printout, a digital camera and some software kids can take part in a kind of virtual reality. The camera recognises holes in the piece of card and interprets that as a magic fairy, a graph chart, a scary chicken... whatever the student wants. Get yourself over to the BBC site to see it in action.
The trial stops at the end of May - so get in quick!
