Now that I can buy Irn-Bru in Paris (admittedly at a "premium" price), I rarely drink the stuff, but once upon a time whenever my family and friends used to come and visit, I would always insist on them bringing me several cans of the amber nectar, which we would trade for a bottle or two or nice French wine.
You can take a boy out of Scotland, etc.
