Create your own landscapes

Landcraft Terra, or Landcraft, is a cool online tool from Russia which allows anyone to create their own unique earth-like or mars-like landscape. Maybe quite a nice way to let kids show what they've learnt about geographical landforms. (Via InformationAesthetics)

Oddly enough, a few hours ago, my 12-year-old son said, "Mom, think you could find me a program that would allow me to create a world?" When I showed him this, he was excited. Thanks.

Great resource. This could give a whole new meaning to studying landforms.
