Capturing the Scottish Learning Festival - meet the crew

Connected_live_crew I've just been sharing some java with the filmmakers (one of two crews) who'll be capturing the underbelly of the Scottish Learning Festival for your enjoyment next week. All four study at Edinburgh's Jewel and Esk Valley and their clips will be appearing on the new Connected Live service, to be launched on Monday 17th September.

Alex Hodgson, my main contact, blew us away with his filmmaking skill last June when Stephen Heppell, who happens to be keynoting at the Festival, joined us on a tour of East Lothian's schools. He's got himself and his filmmaking colleagues a great gig, I hope, at the Learning Festival next week on the back of that... and hopefully lots more is just round the corner from those who see their work next week!

Names, names, names
They'll not be trying to capture every seminar or talk that takes place. They're going for the real meat of any conference - the people who attend. I'll be working with them to help squeeze as much behind-the-scenes out of their access all areas passes as they can manage, as well as brilliant insights to the people behind the seminars, and visitors from far and wide to Glasgow.

If you're at the Festival and see Reece, Chloƫ, Alex or Dale (above) then do say hi and maybe you'll end up giving a flavour of what ScotLearnFest07 is all about.
