Coming up this week: LIFT08

We're suffering a tad of jetlag as we moved last night from Alligator Alley to snowy Switzerland for LIFT, yet another unconferencey three days where I hope to learn from colleagues and see where Learning and Teaching Scotland, schools and Local Authorities might want to go next.

My co-attendees have voted me in to speak in an Open Stage talk, on how why 'open education' is important and how LIFT-ers can help make a difference where they live. It'll be filmed by Swiss TV and hopefully put online. I'll also be co-hosting a discussion/launch of the idea of the Institute for Social Media, or I4SM, which I've had a role in founding with the Manchester Business School. Thursday morning's going to be busy!

If you're happy with a slightly geeky week here on edu.blogs.com, then please do stay for some fondue. Otherwise, you may find the posts I write on Connected Live a bit more education-focused and comprehensible.

About Ewan

Ewan McIntosh is the founder of NoTosh, the no-nonsense company that makes accessible the creative process required to innovate: to find meaningful problems and solve them.

Ewan wrote How To Come Up With Great Ideas and Actually Make Them Happen, a manual that does what is says for education leaders, innovators and people who want to be both.

What does Ewan do?

Module Masterclass

School leaders and innovators struggle to make the most of educators' and students' potential. My team at NoTosh cut the time and cost of making significant change in physical spaces, digital and curricular innovation programmes. We work long term to help make that change last, even as educators come and go.
