Any new form of communication can seem daunting and a bit intimidating at first, especially as many of the Malawian nurses have only recently sent their very first email. But, by providing the same, or better, technology as we enjoy in Scotland, we can communicate on an equal platform about best medical practice. Blogging seems a form of conversation where no participant's voice need be amplified more than any other. This is crucial if we are to reverse the trend of donor and recipient. In this way we can all learn global lessons to apply locally.

Thank you for this user-friendly mantra in blogging!

i think you'll be interested in the link I have put on my blog today about "CommunicationNation". This takes you to a flow chart on how to decide which is the most effective/appropriate option for communication in any given situation and includes an argument for widening the availability of web technologies within institutions.
john commented on 'Six points for organisations entering the Live Web'tag:typepad.com,2003:6a00d83451f00f69e200e39336cdbc88342007-08-06T19:25:31Z2007-08-06T19:25:32Zjohnhttp://www.sandaigprimary.co.uk/pivot/johnjohnston.phpHi Ewan, there are more important things to talk about in relation to this post (I've been thinking about the...
Hi Ewan,
there are more important things to talk about in relation to this post (I've been thinking about the conversation paragraph a lot since I saw it in the last version, and I know it is important to keep an eye on Billy in class, even though I often forget).
But FWIW Safari would print the article as far as I can see from preview. If you really want to offer a good printout you could add a stylesheet for print, that set of styles could hide the right column, the header etc and make everything pretty for print.
Ewan McIntosh commented on 'Six points for organisations entering the Live Web'tag:typepad.com,2003:6a00d83451f00f69e200e39336b00788342007-08-06T16:09:26Z2007-08-06T16:09:27ZEwan McIntoshhttp://edu.blogs.comPS: What you doing trying to PRINT out a blog ;-)
PS: What you doing trying to PRINT out a blog ;-)
Ewan McIntosh commented on 'Six points for organisations entering the Live Web'tag:typepad.com,2003:6a00d83451f00f69e200e39336affe88342007-08-06T16:09:03Z2007-08-06T16:09:03ZEwan McIntoshhttp://edu.blogs.comI don't have an answer for that, I'm afraid, and I am seeing the same thing as you.
I tried to print this - it looks like a really useful summary - but there's something up with your stylesheet.

I'm using Firefox and, in the printed version, the right column is sitting on top of the text of the entry...

Cheers,
