TeachMeet07, the 4th Edition of the UK's biggest teaching and learning unconference, will take place in its most impressive, futuristic venue yet: September 19th, from 6.30pm at the Glasgow Science Centre [map]. You can sign up now.
Thanks to Channel 4 Education and New Media, who are sponsoring the venue and some early evening drinks, this year's event promises to be the best yet, capping off a packed first day of the Scottish Learning Festival. The event immediately follows the equally cool Channel 4 In The Wild Conference, also at the Glasgow Science Centre.
Anyone with a story to tell is invited to come along and share it - in no more than seven minutes. Have you been doing something interesting or different in your teaching? Have your students done something to wow a group of educators? Have you been using some technology in an ingenius way? Do you just have something quite cool you want to show off? This is quite possible the most unthreatening crowd with whom to have a chat about it.
I'm looking forward to meeting in the real world more of those whom I only know online and, as has happened in every TeachMeet we've had, learning something new from everyone.
The event, from now on, is entirely self-organising. The wiki, at the moment, is clogged with stuff from the last event. So, all hands on deck to get the site ready and spread the word about, arguably, the best professional development event ever (the Times Ed said so, so it must be true).
You can view more photographs of this fantastic venue on Flickr and add your name to the wiki. Above all, pick up your choice of lovely logo to display on your site and make sure you put a link back to the wiki so that people can find it.
Update: The official SLF Blog mentions TeachMeet07.
Wonderful news! Well done :-)

Hi Ewan,
Quick note to say I'm liking your new site look. An improvement on your last appearance.
Hope all's well.
